Cleantle Citrus Foam Prewash

Cleantle Citrus Prewash Foam is one of the newest products from Cleantle. It is a very effective and at the same time safe product for pre-washing. You can also use it as a shampoo for washing a car. The product offers very good lubrication for your wash mitt. The pH of this product is 9 as a concentrate, therefore at the recommended dilution, the pH of this product is close to neutral. Citrus Prewash Foam does not contain harmful substances such as potassium and sodium hydrides and any other substances that may cause corrosion. Even though the product offers very good cleaning properties it is safe for coatings, sealants and waxes.

How to use Cleantle Citrus Foam?

When you use a snow foam lance, dilute the product 1:20 for light soiling, and 1:10 for heavily soiled surfaces.
Apply the product directly to the dirty car and leave for 3 to 5 minutes.
After this time, rinse the car well with a pressure washer
Do not apply Citrus prewash on a hot surface and do not allow it to dry.
If you want to use this product instead of shampoo, use 50ml of foam per 10l of water.
This product can also be used from a pump-up sprayer at a dilution of 1:10 – 1:20 depending on how dirty the car is.

Admittedly, our first thought when we announced the Auto Graph Citrine Traffic Film Remover was: an all-purpose cleaner with a cooler name. Anyone who knows us knows that we communicate this to manufacturers. Auto Graph’s reaction was not long in coming:

The Citrine Traffic Film Remover is a concentrate like an APC, but according to the manufacturer it has completely different ingredients. This becomes apparent when you look at the areas of application. While an all-purpose cleaner can also be used in the interior, on upholstery and plastics, depending on the mixture, the Citrine is ONLY intended for cleaning paintwork.

Buzzword Traffic Film

In recent years, the term “traffic film” has become more and more popular among car care professionals. Translated, however, it means nothing other than “road dirt” and is therefore not exactly a new phenomenon. Basically, a traffic film remover works against all types of dirt on the car that accumulates through use. Be it general dirt from driving in wet conditions, dirt after the winter and everything else that doesn’t belong on the car.

To use another buzzword: Such a cleaner should be in the direction of “touchless cleaning”. But we have been trying to do exactly that for decades by using all-purpose cleaners, foams, etc. So in itself, nothing new.

Pre-spraying achieves the goal

The Auto Graph Citrine Traffic Film Remover is always applied BEFORE hand washing. A pressure sprayer such as the IK Multi Pro 2 is recommended, or for partial application simply a spray bottle. Depending on the degree of soiling, Citrine can be diluted in a ratio of 1:10 to 1:30.

As the experienced car care professional can already imagine, a Citrine Traffic Film Remover also has an alkaline effect. However, the pH value of 10 is not extremely high and decreases slightly depending on the mixture. This also shows that other active ingredients are used in Citrine, as the pH value is significantly lower than that of a typical all-purpose cleaner.
