Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Can I use 18V Makita batteries with the A4500 Pro?
A: Yes! The A4500 Pro is designed to run on both 18V and 21V Makita® LXT-style batteries. It performs exceptionally well with 18V packs—especially 4.0Ah or 5.0Ah models—which we recommend for the best balance of runtime and power.
Q: Why doesn’t the A4500 Pro come with batteries or a charger?
A: The A4500 Pro is designed to integrate seamlessly with the widely used Makita® LXT battery platform. This allows users who already own Makita tools to save money by using the batteries they already have—no need to pay for extras you don’t need. Additionally, Liquid Elements battery chargers and batteries are not yet available for the US electric grid. This is a very long process, and due to demand from the community, we felt obliged to release this tool sooner rather than potentially waiting another year or more.
Q: Will Liquid Elements offer their own batteries and charger in the U.S.?
A: Yes. Liquid Elements does plan to release their proprietary 21V battery and charger system for the U.S. market, but there is no confirmed timeline at this time. In the meantime, Makita® 18V batteries are fully supported and deliver excellent performance.
