So let’s cover the basics, Lite is a pure coating, only in sprayable format. Not a “sealant” or some other product that performs similar to a ceramic coating, no this is the same technology that goes into the other ceramics but with a difference.

Supplied in a 100ml glass tube with 2 spray heads Lite can be applied to any painted surface including wheels. Its unique bonding properties allow you to then remove the coating residue up to 15 minutes after initial application which allows several panels to be coated at once. Immediately you will notice the superb darkening properties of Lite which delivers a rich depth to the paintwork and in turn offers an excellent filling ability, covering minor imperfections meaning this coating is suitable also for those who do not wish to machine polish their vehicle. It can also be layered as often as you like within the first hour of application to build it up and cover/ fill scratches in paintwork It does this very well.

One of the key aspects however of this product is its ease of use, when spreading it even on a car that has not had correction or machine polishing work, it goes on like a dream! Equally the removal is beyond effortless. It’s actually tricky to put into words how easy it is. Unlike other coatings, you won’t be pushing the product around or creating smears. Lite comes off with a single pass of the towel! This also makes it a very safe product for a beginner to use making high spots a thing of the past. Of course, on a corrected car the process is also effortless allowing professionals to complete the job quicker.

Another unique aspect of Lite is its curing, once the coating residue has been removed the vehicle can be moved, or used within 5 minutes! No more “store indoors for 12 hours” like with other coatings. But you may ask, how does that work? After all ceramic coatings need time to fully bond to the surface. Yes, there is no getting away from the fact that coatings need time. However, in the case of Lite, we have infused 2 polymer elements that act as a sacrificial layer to the coating immediately from application. They make the surface hydrophobic right away and also reduce the chance of water spots. These polymers last until the vehicle’s first wash, which we recommend doing no earlier than 7 days from the initial application (the vehicle can get wet within the first 7 days but do not clean with detergents). After the 7 day no-wash period you are free to wash your vehicle as normal with quality detergents, we recommend the use of wax-free shampoos such as Pure Shampoo and a quality snow foam like Wipeout. From this point, the coating will exhibit truly exceptional water beading and sheeting which makes cleaning your vehicle substantially easier.

Basic Application: This application method is great if you are not machine polishing the vehicle and simply want the benefits of the ceramic coating with minimal effort.

Thoroughly wash the vehicle, and ensure any tar and contamination have been removed from the bodywork. The use of Liquid Fire is also advised to assist with chemical decontamination and if required you can also use a clay bar to assist in this process.

Dry the vehicle after the wash process, this is essential! Always open doors and dry any areas like under wing mirrors where residual water can be lurking. A handy tool for this is the BLO Air-S car drier, but a dual twist towel like the mini will also do fine.

Next, grab some Synergy prep to ensure any residual surfactants or light contamination from the chemical decon process is completely removed. This is essential to provide a completely clean surface for the coating to bond to. work on only 1 panel at a time or a half panel if you are working on a bonnet or roof. Spray prep and gently wipe in straight lines with a new microfibre towel, excess prep will just evaporate away. A good towel for this is our general weave 380gsm. 

Now to apply Synergy Lite, grab an applicator such as the microfibre ceramic application block. Spray the coating 6-8 times on the block to get the new pad surface primed then begin to apply the coating in straight lines 1 panel at a time. NEVER SPRAY DIRECTLY ON THE CAR. Ensure you crosshatch the coating on application by working it up and down then side to side as this will give a better, more even bond to the surface. Now simply allow 30 secs-5 mins ideally but can be left up to 15 mins before removing the coating residue with a short pile towel like the 280gsm edgeless, you may coat more than 1 panel at a time before removing.

Once you have coated the entire car we recommend you give it a final wipe down with a plush edgeless towel like the 500gsm ultra plush. Once you have done this you are good to go! Just remember not to wash the vehicle for 7 days after application (very important).

Advanced Application:

Advanced application is much the same as the basic, with the addition of machine correction on the vehicle to ensure optimum results in vehicle appearance and protection. Application and curing times remain the same on corrected paintwork.

Layering can be done as many as 20 times with Synergy Lite, this may be desirable if you are trying to hide a deep imperfection that cannot be corrected by a machine. To layer simply apply the first application then remove immediately, the second layer and so on should be left for 1-3 mins before removal. repeat this process until the defect has been completely filled.
